Maine AHPERD Opens Search for an Executive Director The Maine Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (Maine AHPERD) is a non-profit organization seeking a part-time Executive Director. The Executive Director facilitates the work of the Maine AHPERD Board of Directors and works under their direction. Representing professionals and future professionals in related fields of health, physical education, recreation and dance from across Maine. The Mission of the organization is to improve the quality of life for all Mainers by supporting and promoting effective educational practices, quality curriculum, instruction, and assessment in the areas of health, physical education, recreation, dance, and related fields. Maine AHPERD strives to build partnerships with entities passionate about health, physical education, recreation and dance; provides quality professional development; facilitates communication on behalf of Maine AHPERD; and provides leadership and advocacy for health, physical education, recreation and dance at the local, regional, state, and national levels. May 17, 2024 Maine AHPERD PE & HE Teacher Workshop
Location: UMPI Gym
8:15 am - 2:30 pm
Together with the University of Maine Presque Isle, and the Central Aroostook Council on Education (CACE), MAHPERD will be providing a day of professional development for Health Educators and Physical Educators. The target audience is the schools who belong to this regional group, however it is open to all! This workshop will be held at the gym on the UMPI camus
This workshop is FREE for current MAHPERD members and $50 for non-members. If you attended the 2023 MAHPERD conference in November, 2023, or paid your membership of $50 for 2024, you are a current member.
